Scoreboard: the Japanese Workplace

Since I began working in Japan as an English teacher around 1 year and 3 months ago, I’ve taught approximately 1400 classes (wow, I’ve never tried to calculate that before).

A government employee in Kinokawa city, in 9 months of work, managed to access 780,000 porn websites while at work. That’s around 1 porn website every 30 seconds.

The man wasn’t fired… NOT FIRED, but demoted with a $200/month pay cut.

I have yet to receive a promotion.

Dear Erin,

I could tell you the matter is a part of our huge problem about the government official or staff, because they are protected by the law which was made by corrupted Parliament.

We need a nice Politician such as Jean Chretien who reformed the Canada. You see Canada is much better than the USA now if we see the currency market. C$1=105yen, US$1=104.

I can tell you Socialist party will win the next election and get the power of the Parliamnet. However some of these politicians are corrupted with Labour Union of the government worker. It means they do not wish to work for Japan, and just make money for them.

It is very good for you to discuss about the problem, because you pay tax for Japanese government.
